Nitrogen generation is used in various industries but How Does A Nitrogen Generator Work?
A nitrogen generator works using Pressure Swing Adsorption Technology (PSA) to remove O2 from compressed air. This produces a continuous stream of nitrogen gas.
Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) is the media used within the generator. When the CMS is under pressure it adsorbs the O2 molecules, allowing nitrogen to flow into the system tank and then to the application.
The O2 is then exhausted back to the atmosphere where it immediately recombines with the surrounding air. The CMS has a much narrower range of pore openings which allows small molecules such as oxygen to penetrate the pores and be separated from nitrogen molecules which are too large to enter the CMS. The larger molecules of nitrogen by-pass the CMS and emerge as the product gas.
Having your own nitrogen generator allows you to generate your own nitrogen, eliminating processing, refills and delivery costs. They are easy to install and we can provide you with a reliable source of nitrogen gas generated on demand. A fully automatic nitrogen generator will deliver high purity nitrogen.
PSA technology guarantees an excellent return on investment.
Nitrogen generators are used in various laboratory and industrial sectors including Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical and Aerospace. Our nitrogen gas generators are small, quiet and offer instant access to newly produced gas.
