Earth Day
Every year on April 22nd, countries across the globe join together in celebrating Earth Day. For 46 years this annual event has been designed to draw attention to the environmental issues plaguing our planet and to unite people in tackling them.
Earth Day started on April 22, 1970 in America. It united 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement. The passage of the landmark Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act and many other ground-breaking environmental laws soon followed. Twenty years later, Earth Day went global, mobilising 200 million people in 141 countries and lifting environmental issues onto the world stage. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.
Motivated from this global drive, many businesses will try to make a difference to their own carbon footprint – maybe by switching to recycled packaging and supplies, or installing solar panels, or encouraging staff to find ways to save energy in their day-to-day work.
We understand that being environmentally conscious is not always a profitable option for businesses, which is why we’re proud that the work we do in Nitrogen Generation helps to protect the environment and save our customers money.
By switching from gas cylinders to a generator, our customers choose a much more environmentally friendly way of producing and storing gas, and reduce their overheads.
